DALLA LANA ALLA LUNA is a coming-of-age story that follows Carlotta, a twelve-year-old girl, as she faces her fears. During her birthday party, Carlotta feels left out and under pressure, especially from her mother and her peers. Moreover, her Aunt Lella’s gift — a pair of flashy earrings — heightens the conflict between her personal identity and the expectations others place upon her. However, the unexpected arrival of a drag queen as the evening’s entertainer will change the course of the party, offering Carlotta a new model of courage and authenticity. A key figure in Carlotta’s journey toward self-acceptance, the drag queen encourages her to find the strength to express her individuality. Taking a deep breath, Carlotta will finally dive in — emerging transformed and ready to embrace herself.
